Those of you who supported Saturday's Project Healing Waters shad fishing event on the 15th probably noted that a couple of guys across the river where taking a lot of shad in a hole just upstream from Old Mill Park. I snuck in there this morning around 7:15 and fished for a couple of hours, landing about 60 fish and loosing a few. Also took two small stripers and a couple of white perch. After trying a number of flies, and catching a few here and there, I settled on a #6 Sir Bruce with a red Amnesia rib. They couldn't leave it alone. Since I only have two left, I guess I better tie up a few more. Go get 'em!
