I dedcided to try to tie some bass worms. So, I went to hooby lobby looking for some big yarn. I settled on something called "double boucle" . To make the tails nice and thick I twisted the yarn together. to make the bodies I just wrapped the yarn around the hook.

The flies below are 3/0 worm hooks and are about 6" long. The top one has lead eyes, middle one is lead wire and the bottom one is bare hook. Out of all of them I like the bare hook the best. in the 5 gallon bucket test the sink rate was about 6" per second which is good for a worm. The other 2 sank too fast for a pond but might be good in the Rapp for smallies.

Some improvements I might make if these work OK are add a weedgaurd and maybe a paddle tail. Since the fly has almost no action as it sinks.
