All Fish - All Waters
Our club members like to fly fish warm water, cold water, and saltwater. Come to a meeting to see what we're up to and how the fishing is. And join us for one of our fishing outings!
Check out our message board for the latest fishing reports and moreFalmouth Flats Fly Fishers is a wonderfully diverse group of
anglers with one thing in common: the fly rod. Located in the
Chesapeake Bay Watershed, we are a nonprofit charter club of the
Federation of Fly Fishers dedicated to conserving, restoring and
educating through fly fishing.
Our club was spawned as a result of the seasonal Shad and Striped Bass
on the easily-waded Rappahannock River flats below the Falmouth Bridge
in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Over the course of several years, as an
increasing number of fly fishers came into contact with one another at
the flats, information was shared, friendships made. On January 19,
1999, FFFF was launched at an organizational meeting which drew 25
people by word-of-mouth advertising. Our current membership roster now
exceeds 100.
Today, our club’s activities, projects and monthly meeting programs are
as varied as its many members’ interests. As a premier fly fishing
club, our meetings are well attended by both impassioned fly fishers
and those with a mild curiosity about the sport. Our goal is to never
lose sight of the fact that we are a fishing club dedicated to fun.
